July 2023 Update
Family,
Adriana and I hope that as you read this, you are filled with joy in the Lord for the gift of His Son, Christ Jesus for you.
I wanted to do this leadership update on New City’s recent progress and growth in a different format. I hope that this simplifies the reading for you and makes clear the areas of growth and need. I hope this also becomes easily sharable for you, as I hope you share with others the story of what your generous and sacrificial contributions are doing to advance the kingdom, here in Orlando.
Securing a Place for our Monthly Gatherings
We are so excited to announce that, by God’s grace, we have successfully secured a new venue for our upcoming monthly gatherings! These gatherings will take place the second Sunday evening on every month from August to December and we plan on hosting 2 interest parties and 3 worship nights. Let me tell you about the building: We were able to rent from a local church in this part of the city who has a separate chapel from their worship building. This space not only accommodates our growing numbers but also provides a conducive environment for fostering a deeper sense of community and spiritual growth among the people of New City. We were eager to partner with Victoria Church as they are a pillar of gospel ministry in this area of the city since the 90’s.
Petition for Prayer
As we continue to expand our outreach and ministry efforts as we get closer to launch day, we covet your prayers for God’s continued and additional provision. With the rent of the new venue, and increasing commitments for ministry opportunity, our financial needs have also grown. Our budget remains the same as it has always been, but with the ever changing landscape that is support raising, we ask that you join us in petitioning the Lord to bring us new partners, increase the giving of current partners, and establish a giving routine within the people who benefit from New City but are not committing to giving. We trust in God’s faithfulness to provide for his church by the means of you, our generous supporters, and others who are not yet supporting to meet this need. We are praying for God’s wisdom, guidance and provision while navigating this space in the ministry of New City as we look to remains obedient to His calling and fulfill our purpose.
Growing Through Ephesians
Our journey through the book of Ephesians has been truly transformative. God’s is penetrating all of our hearts and drawing us closer together through the gift of His word. As we read through the lens of how He changes the world through the church, we have found profound insight and comfort in His plan for our lives gathered and scattered. Pray for us as we continue now through chapters 4, 5, and 6 over the next 4 weeks.
Exciting Growth in Numbers
The Lord has been gracious in blessing us with more adding to our number. We have added one new couple and have been gifted with regular visitations from others outside who are becoming more and more curious about what God is doing with New City. Our home as been a place to connect with new, unique people we did not know before week after week. As more join our community, we are inspired by the opportunity to reflect the goodness of God to those who are curious, doubters, and seekers. God is truly forming our already existing group into a people on mission, living toward His glory.
To wrap this up, we are deeply grateful for your steadfast support and prayers that have played a pivotal tole in the growth and success of our ministry. We firmly believe that God is in this and with your continued support we know that He will meet all our needs.
